Ingredients
  

For the Red Gelatin Layer:

  • 1 3 oz box strawberry or cherry Jell-O
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water

For the Creamy Layer:

  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin about 2 tablespoons
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water

Optional for Extra Hearts (Pink Layer or Multi-Color):

  • Additional Jell-O flavors like raspberry watermelon, or pink lemonade

Instructions
 

Prepare the Red Gelatin Layer

  • In a bowl, mix Jell-O with 1 cup boiling water until fully dissolved. Stir in ½ cup cold water.
  • Pour into a 9x13 dish. Chill in the fridge for about 1 hour or until set.

Prepare the Creamy Layer

  • Sprinkle unflavored gelatin over ½ cup cold water in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  • Add 1 cup boiling water and whisk until dissolved. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk. Let cool slightly.

Layer the Creamy Gelatin

  • Once the red layer is set, gently pour the creamy gelatin layer over the top.
  • Return to the fridge and chill for another 2–3 hours, or until firm.

Cut Out Hearts

  • Once fully set, use a small heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out hearts. For clean cuts, dip the cutter in warm water between cuts.

Serve or Store

  • Lift out with a thin spatula or fingers. Arrange on a platter or in mini paper cups.

To make layered hearts, alternate flavored gelatin layers with white gelatin, chilling each before adding the next
