Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce (or crushed tomatoes for chunkier texture)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1Β½ tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Β½ tsp garlic powder
  • Β½ tsp onion powder
  • Β½ tsp sugar balances acidity
  • Β½ tsp salt or to taste
  • ΒΌ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, combine tomato sauce and tomato paste.
  • Add oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  • Stir in the olive oil.
  • Whisk until smooth and well combined.
