Bake the Cake:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line cake pans.
Prepare the batter according to your chosen flavor.
Divide evenly and bake for 30–35 minutes.
Let cakes cool completely on wire racks.
Make the Frosting:
Beat butter until creamy and light. Gradually mix in powdered sugar.
Add vanilla and cream to desired consistency.
Divide into three bowls: color one red, one blue, leave one plain (or use as needed).
Assemble the Cake:
Level cakes if needed. Place one layer on a cake board.
Add frosting between layers, then apply a crumb coat.
Chill for 20 minutes.
Decorate – Spiderman Style:
Frost the cake with alternating red and blue (or swirl effect).
Use black icing to draw a web pattern over the top and sides.
Pipe webbing from the center out using a small round tip.
Optional: Add a Spiderman figure or edible image on top.
For more vibrant colors, use gel coloring—not liquid.
Chill cake slightly before piping black details to prevent smudging.
