🐾 Dog Birthday Cake
This Dog Birthday Cake is a fun, safe, and delicious way to celebrate your furry friend! Made with simple, dog-friendly ingredients like peanut butter, applesauce, and oat flour, this cake is moist, naturally sweetened, and topped with a creamy dog-safe frosting. It’s easy to make, customizable, and guaranteed to make tails wag.
For the Dog Cake:
- 1 cup oat flour or whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
- ¼ cup natural peanut butter no xylitol!
- 1 egg
- ⅓ cup milk or water
For the Dog-Friendly Frosting:
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
Step 1: Make the Cake
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 6-inch cake pan or line cupcake tins.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
Add in applesauce, peanut butter, egg, and milk. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
Step 2: Make the Frosting
In a small bowl, mix together Greek yogurt and peanut butter until smooth.
