Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Mixing bowl or directly mix on the sheet pan
  • Spatula or tongs

Ingredients

  • 1½ lbs fresh Brussels sprouts
  • 2 –3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1–2 cloves garlic minced

Instructions

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.

Prep the Brussels Sprouts

  • Trim the stem ends and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Cut small sprouts in half and quarter any large ones for even roasting.

Season

  • Toss the sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl or directly on the baking sheet. Add minced garlic if using.

Roast

  • Spread Brussels sprouts in a single layer, cut side down. Roast for 25–30 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until crispy on the outside and fork-tender inside.

Finish & Serve

  • Remove from the oven and add optional toppings like a drizzle of balsamic glaze, lemon zest, grated cheese, or crushed nuts for extra flavor and texture.
