- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Shape into 4-6 patties.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add mushrooms and cook until browned.
Sprinkle flour over mushrooms. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in beef broth, scraping the skillet. Add Worcestershire sauce. Cook until gravy thickens.
Return patties to skillet. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
