Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Shape into 4-6 patties.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter. Add mushrooms and cook until browned.
  • Sprinkle flour over mushrooms. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in beef broth, scraping the skillet. Add Worcestershire sauce. Cook until gravy thickens.
  • Return patties to skillet. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
